When a proposal expires, you still have an option before walking away— you can request that the venue extend it. BoomPop will draft a message to the hotel on your behalf, and once they agree, the proposal becomes active again so you can continue reviewing and booking.
When a proposal expires
If a venue's proposal passes its expiration date without a decision, you'll see an expiration notice on the proposal page with two options:
Request extension: Sends a message to the hotel asking them to extend the proposal
Archive: Removes the proposal from your active view
Requesting an extension
Open the expired proposal from Requests and Bookings
Click Request extension
A message to the hotel is drafted for you automatically in the messaging panel
Review the message, then click Send
The hotel receives a notification and will manually extend the proposal on their end.
After you send the request
Once the hotel grants the extension, the expiration notice will disappear and the proposal will return to active status; available for you to review, compare, and book.
TL;DR
Expired proposals show a Request extension button on the proposal page
Clicking it drafts a message to the hotel automatically
Send the message to notify the hotel
Once the hotel extends, the proposal returns to active status
