When you submit a proposal, you set an expiration date to hold your pricing and availability. If a client needs more time, or if your proposal has already expired, you can extend that deadline directly from the inquiry in Partner Hub. No need to edit the full proposal.
When to extend
Consider extending your expiration date if:
A client has reached out asking for more time to decide
Your proposal is expiring soon and negotiations are still active
Your proposal has already expired and the client wants to move forward
Keeping your proposal open while a client is still engaged avoids them having to re-request availability— which could mean pricing or availability has changed by the time you resubmit.
How to extend a proposal that hasn't expired yet
If your proposal is still active, you'll see the current expiration date listed under Preferred dates in the inquiry.
Open the inquiry from your Partner Hub dashboard
Click Extend next to the expiration date
Select a new expiration date from the date picker
Click Confirm
The expiration date updates immediately. The client will see the updated date on their end.
How to extend an expired proposal
If the proposal has already passed its expiration date, you'll see a banner at the top of the inquiry.
Open the inquiry from your Partner Hub dashboard
Click Extend expiration date on the expired proposal banner
Select a new expiration date from the date picker
Click Confirm
Once confirmed, a milestone will appear in the inquiry chat indicating the proposal expiration was extended. The client will be able to review and request a proposal if desired.
TL;DR
Use the inline Extend link to push the expiration date on an active proposal
Use the Extend expiration date button on the banner if the proposal has already expired
Both flows open the same date picker — select a new date and confirm
Extending an expired proposal restores client access to approve it
